Rising artist DOHA is officially making his debut.
DOHA will release his first single, “DREAM IN MY BAG,” on July 15, marking his official entry into the music industry.
He first gained attention through the JTBC show “PROJECT 7” and joined Hyver Lab Entertainment earlier this year. Recently, he appeared on the MBN program “The Great Show: Taekwon (위대한쇼: 태권)”, where he shared his personal story through a taekwondo performance, captivating viewers with his unique charm.
Set to drop on July 15, DOHA’s debut single “DREAM IN MY BAG” symbolically represents his dreams and personal journey. The album is filled with tracks that express his excitement and determination to take the stage. His stage name “DOHA” stands for “Dream over hope again”, reflecting his resolve to dream once more despite past hardships. Once an aspiring taekwondo athlete, an injury forced him to change paths — and now, he’s chasing a second dream as an artist.
The title track “Zipper” is a pop-dance song inspired by the moment you unzip a bag full of dreams. With its addictive chorus — “got my zipper zipper zipper zipper zip” — the song bursts with bold energy. Lyrics like “Young and wild and free” capture his passionate sprint toward the stage.
The pre-release track “That’s me”, released on June 18, blends a trendy guitar riff with heartfelt lyrics like “That’s me,” serving as a sincere declaration of self. This song marks the narrative starting point of the album, revealing DOHA’s rebirth and true identity.
Hyver Lab Entertainment describes “DREAM IN MY BAG” as DOHA’s first official record — a story of growth and second chances, containing a glimpse into unfamiliar yet promising tomorrows.
The agency added that from his days as a trainee, through survival shows, variety programs, and a pre-debut track, DOHA has consistently proven himself. Now, with his first official release, he begins the real journey of a boy who dares to dream again. All eyes are on what the name “DOHA” will achieve next.
