CHOI MINHWAN
CHOI MINHWAN (of FTISLAND) is back on social media following controversy over his private life.

CHOI MINHWAN, a member of the rock band FTISLAND, has resumed his social media activity after being involved in a personal scandal.
On July 11, CHOI MINHWAN posted a photo of drumsticks on his personal account with the caption: “FNC Band Kingdom.”
That same day, Kang Minhyuk of CNBLUE, who is also under FNC Entertainment, shared a similar photo of drumsticks from a different angle. Kang tagged CHOI MINHWAN, Kim Jaehyun of N.Flying, Hi-Fi Un!corn, AMP, and other drummers from FNC bands. All of these artists are set to perform at the “FNC Band Kingdom 2025” event, which will take place on July 12 and 13 at the Makuhari Messe Event Hall in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
CHOI MINHWAN’s post drew attention as it marked his first public appearance in a long time, following his involvement in a controversy. In 2018, he married Yulhee, a former member of the girl group LABOUM, and the couple had three children (one son and twin daughters). However, they announced their divorce in December 2023. Afterward, Yulhee made a series of revelations about CHOI MINHWAN’s private life, which stirred public backlash. He faced allegations of solicitation of prostitution and forcible molestation, but police ultimately closed the case due to insufficient evidence.
CHOI MINHWAN is also planning a comeback in Korea this August. FTISLAND will hold its “2025 FTISLAND LIVE MAD HAPPY” concert on August 23 and 24 at the Blue Square SOL Travel Hall in Seoul.
Regarding the upcoming performance, LEE HONG GI, fellow FTISLAND member, shared a message to fans via the Weverse community:
“Thank you. I’ve had a lot of worries and doubts, but I’ll do everything I can so we can have a great time together.“
