BTS’s V surpasses 100 million views on TikTok with his “Squid Game” costume video.

V of BTS has hit over 100 million views on TikTok with a video showing him dressed as a character from Squid Game.
The video was filmed during BTS’s concert in Los Angeles in 2021. At the time, V surprised fans by appearing in the iconic outfit of the “Pink Soldiers”, the masked guards from Netflix’s original series Squid Game, electrifying the entire venue.
This moment, widely considered one of the concert’s highlights, drew massive attention from global media. Even Netflix’s official account reacted by saying:
“We’re obsessed with BTS X Squid Game, but V should never wear a mask.”
American magazine People also commented on the moment V took off his mask, writing:
“Is it even legal to be this good-looking?”
With the recent announcement of a new season of Squid Game, the video has resurfaced and is rapidly going viral again on short-form content platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels. On TikTok alone, the video has surpassed 100 million views, received 14.6 million likes, and generated over 162,000 comments, triggering a massive response.
Billboard Korea also highlighted the moment on its official account, reporting:
“When V appeared in the Pink Soldier outfit during the concert, the crowd and fans erupted in cheers. Even now, videos and photos from that performance are going viral again.”
What’s especially notable is that V doesn’t even have a personal TikTok account, yet his videos and related challenge content continue to shatter view records.

For instance, the “Hype boy” dance challenge featuring V has surpassed 120 million views. Other clips, such as the “Devilc Challenge,” the “Smoke Challenge,” and his collaboration with dancer Lee Jung, also go viral every time.
More recently, V recreated the viral TikTok meme dance aura farming kid during a live broadcast, sparking a new wave of global excitement.
The meme originally features an 11-year-old boy dancing at the front of a traditional Indonesian boat during a race. Indonesia’s official tourism board even reposted V’s version of the meme, using it for official promotional purposes.
Even before TikTok, V made waves with his performances on Dubsmash, another short-form video platform. With his growing popularity, fans are now eagerly hoping V will finally open a personal TikTok account.
