Singer BoA has donated 100 million won to Samsung Medical Center.

Singer BoA donated 100 million won (about 72,000 dollars) to the orthopedic surgery department at Samsung Medical Center, SM Entertainment announced Wednesday.
She hopes the donation will help support patients facing financial difficulties who need treatments not covered by health insurance.
The agency also revealed that BoA was recently diagnosed with acute osteonecrosis and underwent surgery, which led to the cancellation of two upcoming shows due to her knee condition.
BoA has made other notable donations before: 100 million won to support teens aging out of the child welfare system, and 50 million won to Asan Medical Center for pediatric cancer treatment on Children’s Day, May 5.
Debuting in 2000, BoA is known for hits like “Atlantis princess” (2003), “Eat you up” (2008), “Hurricane venus” (2010), and “Only one” (2012).
She is set to release her 11th studio album, titled “CRAZIER”, on August 4.
