“BITCH and RICH 2”: A high-tension season finale

The series “BITCH and RICH 2″ confirmed its status as a phenomenon right through to its final episode.
Airing through August 1st, the drama “BITCH and RICH 2″ (directed by Im Dae-woong and Park Hyung-won / written by Kwak Young-im / produced by WHYNOT Media and Lian Contents) is a psychological thriller for teens, blending romance and power struggles within a prestigious elite high school. Building on the success of season 1, this new season surpassed its predecessor in suspense and plot twists, once again captivating viewers.
The storyline focused on Kim Hye In (played by Lee Eun Sam), who comes from a modest background and joins the school’s top power circle, the “Diamond 6.” Meanwhile, the dominant position of the self-proclaimed queen Baek Jena (Kim Yerim) becomes shaken. Their evolving relationship, swinging between rivalry and friendship, deepened audience engagement. Ultimately, Hye In and Jena come to understand each other and become true friends. Together, they take revenge on Min Yulhee (Park Siwoo), delivering a satisfying conclusion and a serious dopamine rush.
New characters also energized the plot: Cha Jin Wook (Kim Minkyu) and Lee Sarang (Won Kyubin) made their debut, while the official couple Yulhee and Park Woo Jin (Jang Deok Soo) grew even more ruthless. Kim Hae In (Jang Sung Yoon), who awakened from a coma, disrupted the school’s balance, and Seo Do-eon (Lee Jong Hyuk) gave a passionate, devoted performance, adding depth and intensity to the story.
“BITCH and RICH 2”, praised for its rich storytelling and diverse characters, also shined on Korean OTT platforms. On Netflix Korea, the series reached #2 overall and maintained #4 the week of the finale. On Wavve, it ranked #3 in the drama category and held #7 in the final week. On TVING, it climbed to #4 in the real-time popular drama rankings and stayed at #6 in the finale week.
Overseas, the series also enjoyed great success. On Taiwanese OTT platform friDay, it ranked #3 in the drama category and #7 overall across all content. Even after the final episode aired, it remained at #5 and #8 respectively.
According to the weekly rankings published by Viu for the fourth week of July (July 21–27), the series was #1 in Indonesia, #2 in the Philippines, #4 in Hong Kong, #5 in Malaysia, and #6 in Thailand, proving its broad appeal across Asia.
On Rakuten Viki, covering the Americas, Europe, and Oceania, the series entered the Top 15 in its first week and ranked #4 in the Middle East and India. Three weeks after its launch, it stayed within the Top 20 in Western regions and the Top 10 in the Middle East and India. Notably, in its first week, it ranked in the Top 10 by viewership in 124 countries, including the United States, France, India, and the United Arab Emirates, and remained in the Top 10 in 79 countries by week three, confirming its status as a global hit.
Finally, on Japan’s leading OTT platform ABEMA TV, the series reached #1 in the Korean-Chinese drama category.
