G-DRAGON
Illegal ticket reselling for G-DRAGON’s concert in Hong Kong, part of his world tour, is spiraling out of control.

According to local media outlets Ming Pao and Sing Tao Daily, around 30 fraud reports related to G-DRAGON’s concert tickets, scheduled for August 8 to 10 at AsiaWorld-Arena in Hong Kong, have been filed with the Hong Kong police.
The total amount of damages is estimated at 610,000 Hong Kong dollars (approximately 107 million KRW, or over $81,000 USD). One fan reportedly handed over 180,000 HKD (about 31.8 million KRW, or more than $24,000 USD), shocking the public.
The intense hype around this concert stems from the fact that it’s G-DRAGON’s first performance in Hong Kong in eight years, drawing massive attention from local fans. Tickets sold out immediately after sales opened.
Ming Pao reported that VVIP seats for the final night were being resold for up to 120,000 HKD (about 21 million KRW, or nearly $17,500 USD), calling the prices “insane.”
A similar incident previously occurred in Taiwan, where a scalper bought tickets in bulk and resold them at much higher prices, making 20 million TWD (around 900 million KRW, or over $660,000 USD) in profit. Authorities are urging fans to stay alert.
For reference, G-DRAGON kicked off his world tour “Ubermensch” this past May, with the first concert held at Tokyo Dome in Japan.
