On August 8, JISOO, member of BLACKPINK, shared several photos along with the number “9” and black and pink heart emojis.
In these pictures, JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ, and LISA appear together, smiling and capturing a heartfelt moment as a group.
BLACKPINK debuted on August 8, 2016, with the songs “Whistle (휘파람)” and “Boombayah” included in the single “SQUARE ONE”, marking its 9th anniversary on this day.
ROSÉ also shared a message:
“Tonight, we celebrate our 9 years. We have set the world on fire, and we will continue to shine brighter than the sun.”
She congratulated both the members and the BLINKs (the fandom name).

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK kicked off its new world tour with the solo concert “DEADLINE,” held on July 5 and 6 at the main stadium of the Goyang Sports Complex. The group then launched their European tour with the “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR IN PARIS” at Stade de France, and they will perform in Barcelona, Spain, on August 9.
