S.COUPS and MINGYU, members of the group SEVENTEEN, team up as a duo.
A representative from Pledis Entertainment, SEVENTEEN’s agency, told the media on August 11:
“S.COUPS and MINGYU plan to release a unit album in September. The detailed schedule will be announced later through an official statement.”
S.COUPS and MINGYU are part of the hip-hop team, one of SEVENTEEN’s three official subunits alongside the performance team and the vocal team, along with members WONWOO and VERNON. This is the first time S.COUPS and MINGYU have formed a duo, generating excitement about their new chemistry.
Previously, several unit projects have been launched within SEVENTEEN, including LEADERS (S.COUPS, HOSHI, WOOZI), BSS (SEUNGKWAN, DK, HOSHI), JEONGHAN x WONWOO, and HOSHI x WOOZI. As SEVENTEEN celebrates its 10th anniversary since debuting this year, the 13-member group continues to offer diverse activities both as a full group and in subunits.
For reference, SEVENTEEN debuted in May 2015 and has produced numerous hits such as “Adore U,” “Mansae,” “Pretty U,” “Very NICE,” “Boomboom,” “Clap,” “Thanks,” “Oh my!,” “Home,” “Left & right,” “HOME;RUN,” “Rock with you,” “Hot,” “Super,” “God of music,” “Maestro,” “Love, Money, Fame,” and “Thunder.”
