LIM HYUNSIK, member of BTOB, is making his comeback as a solo artist.
On August 17 at 6 PM KST, his agency BTOB Company announced the upcoming release of his new digital single, unveiling a “coming-up” poster on their official social media channels.
The poster immediately draws attention with its black-and-white, emotionally charged imagery, featuring the faint outline of a hand holding a guitar. At the center, a torn piece of paper displays the inscriptions “Lim Hyunsik,” “Digital Single,” along with the release date and time, “2025.08.22, 6 PM,” further heightening anticipation among fans worldwide.
This solo comeback comes roughly a year and a half after the release of his second mini-album, “THE YOUNG MAN AND THE DEEP SEA,” which dropped last February.
The music video for the title track of that album, “La mar (고독한 바다),” was selected last September in the Korean feature competition section of the 20th Jecheon International Music & Film Festival (JIMFF 2024), attracting significant attention. In June, LIM HYUNSIK also attended the 2025 International Maritime Film Festival as an actor through this project.
Having already showcased a wide musical range with “THE YOUNG MAN AND THE DEEP SEA” by exploring various genres, expectations are particularly high for the depth and charm he will reveal through this new digital single.
LIM HYUNSIK’s new digital single will be released on August 22 at 6 PM KST across all major online music platforms. Further details will be announced later.
