Singer YOO SEUNG JUN has announced his return to YouTube after four years.

On August 17, he posted a video on his YouTube channel titled “Yoo Seung Jun Comeback? BREAKING NEWS! Yoo Seung Jun aka YSJ has returned?”
YOO SEUNG JUN said:
“I’ve missed you all so much. How have you been? It’s been such a long time since I last spoke to you. From now on, I want to share little moments of my life with you and communicate more through YouTube. I hope to receive lots of love and support.”
The video shows his daily life in the United States. Talking with his son, he explains:
“After surfing at Malibu Beach and Huntington Beach, I perform on stage in the evening.”
Then, addressing the camera with a smile, he adds:
“Even if you don’t know me, how could I know you? Who are you to judge me? Do you always keep your promises? I can’t talk about it without shedding tears.”
The video also shows YOO SEUNG JUN convincing his wife to join an interview and capturing everyday moments with his two sons and twin daughters, highlighting their charming presence.
He also shares his dedication to fitness, including swimming and weight training, saying:
“I started from nothing and arrived here. When I think about it, did I really lose anything? Just making it this far is already a miracle.”
He adds:
“I can’t give up on my unfinished dreams and passions. Life is too short.”
YOO SEUNG JUN plans to continue his activities in the entertainment world.
For context, in 2002, before his military service, he left the country promising to return after his concerts but renounced his Korean citizenship to become a U.S. citizen. This raised suspicions of draft evasion, and the Ministry of Justice banned him from entering Korea.
In 2015, he applied for an F-4 visa for overseas Koreans to continue his career, but it was denied. He filed a lawsuit to overturn the refusal and won his first two administrative cases. However, he was recently denied again and filed a third lawsuit against the Los Angeles Consulate and the Minister of Justice. During the second hearing of this third case, the Ministry of Justice maintained its refusal.
YOO SEUNG JUN has repeatedly expressed his sense of injustice. Nevertheless, due to strong public opposition, it remains difficult for him to enter Korea.
Recently, some fans submitted a statement on DC Inside requesting a presidential pardon from Lee Jae Myung. YOO SEUNG JUN responded:
“I never wanted a pardon, and I don’t even know who submitted that statement. I only wanted to return to Korea to restore my honor.”
Unable to enter Korea, YOO SEUNG JUN has chosen to communicate with his Korean fans from abroad via YouTube. By sharing his family life and private moments, he hopes to reconnect and erase the negative image accumulated over the years, attracting considerable attention.
