ENHYPEN - HEESEUNG
The National Pension Service suffered an ordeal of unexpected protest calls following the departure of HEESEUNG from the group ENHYPEN. This is explained by the fact that ENHYPEN belongs to BELIFT LAB, a label under the aegis of HYBE, an agency in which the National Pension Service has invested.

KIM SUNG-JOO, the president of the National Pension Service, published on March 18 on his social media account a message titled “The story of the paralysis of the International Pension Support Center of the National Pension Fund”.
Through this message, President KIM explained the situation: “Last week, international calls suddenly flooded into the International Pension Support Center of the National Pension Fund, temporarily paralyzing the work, and approximately 1,500 emails were received in two hours.”
He specified that this was due to the spread of messages inciting foreign fans to make protest calls to the National Pension Service, a major shareholder of HYBE, regarding the issue of the ENHYPEN member’s departure.
He then emphasized: “The International Support Center is a department responsible for pension support services for foreign workers working in Korea and Koreans working abroad,” adding that “people calling for pension consultations suffered significant inconveniences because of this situation.”
President KIM explained: “The National Pension Service invests in many companies in more than 80 countries around the world, but it does not intervene in the management or personnel matters of individual companies” and “naturally, it does not intervene either in the formation of K-pop groups or the composition of their members.”
Furthermore, BELIFT LAB announced the departure of HEESEUNG on the 10th. Faced with this sudden change, some fans do not accept it and firmly demand the cancellation of the departure. Some foreign fandoms even led a protest movement with the National Pension Service, a major shareholder of HYBE, thus spreading the controversy.
