KIM JONG KOOK
Singer KIM JONG KOOK announced his marriage through a handwritten letter, sharing his heartfelt feelings on the matter.

On the morning of August 18, KIM JONG KOOK drew attention by posting on his fan café: “I’m getting married.”
He stated:
“Actually, I had been dropping a few hints here and there, but I think many people will still feel like this comes suddenly. Even though it’s a bit late, isn’t it still a great blessing that it’s happening this way…? I will do my best to live well.”
He added humorously:
“This year marks my 30th career anniversary, but instead of releasing the album I wanted, I ended up creating my other half.”
Regarding the ceremony, he explained:
“The wedding will take place soon, in a rather intimate setting, with family, close relatives, and a few friends. Thanks to all of you, my fans, who have supported me for so long, I can now get married and take on a new challenge in life. I promise to keep working hard and living life to the fullest.”
In particular, marriage rumors began back in April, when it was reported that KIM JONG KOOK had purchased, in cash, a luxury townhouse-style villa in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul, for 6.2 billion won (about 4 million euros). At the time, on KBS 2TV’s “Problem child in house,” he commented about his new home:
“Of course, if I get married, this will be my newlywed home.”
When host Kim Sook asked, “And the bride? Do you already have someone?” KIM JONG KOOK replied:
“There isn’t anyone yet, but when I do get married, the bride will come here.”
KIM JONG KOOK debuted in the music industry in September 1995 with the group TURBO. He began his solo career in 2001 and also gained recognition as a host and TV personality through programs such as “Running Man” and “My Little Old Boy.”
