Artist WOODZ captivated fans with a more mature look and diverse charm through his first photoshoot since being discharged from the military.

Fashion magazine W Korea released WOODZ’s new photos and interview on its official website on August 22.
In the shoot, WOODZ showcased a wide range of styles, from classic suits to hip looks with bandanas, and outfits accented with accessories. Some shots feature him with a guitar, alternating between black-and-white and color, while flawlessly rocking his pink hair, enhancing the richness of his visuals. Through his various gazes and expressions, he shifts between playfulness, dreamy vibes, and nonchalance, elevating the overall quality of the shoot.
“‘Drowning’ became popular again during my military service… I’m surprised now.” – WOODZ
On set, he lightened the mood with his warm personality, yet transformed immediately into a professional artist once filming began. Carefully monitoring every detail, he demonstrated that his focus and passion extend beyond music into fashion as well.

During the interview, WOODZ spoke about the unexpected resurgence of his self-composed track “Drowning” during his military service:
“At the time, I wasn’t really in society, so I didn’t feel it much. But now, every time unexpected people recognize me, I’m surprised.”
Regarding his future goals, he sincerely stated:
“Of course, I want to continue making good music, but my biggest wish is to become a better person. I want to be better this year than last year, and better next year than this year.”
WOODZ had previously showcased refined styling in W Korea Vol.12 in 2023. This new photoshoot marks his first collaboration with the magazine since his military discharge, capturing his matured visuals and inner growth.
During his service, the resurgence of “Drowning” created a buzz and became a notable success. Since his discharge last month, WOODZ has actively resumed activities, including releasing a visualizer for his pre-released single “SMASHING CONCRETE”, appearing on TV shows, throwing the first pitch for the Kia Tigers, and performing successfully at Summer Sonic 2025, confirming his presence in the music scene.

He will also perform at major domestic festivals such as Let’s Rock Festival and Busan International Rock Festival, while running a pop-up store featuring collaborations with global designers and merchandise creation.
Finally, WOODZ’s photoshoot, candid interview, and showcase of his favorite items are available in W Korea Vol.9 and on the magazine’s official website.
