KEY from SHINee scores two crowns with his new title track “Hunter,” both on music shows and the Circle Chart.
KEY, a member of SHINee, took first place with the title track “Hunter” from his third studio album on KBS2’s Music Bank on August 22. After already winning first place on MBC M and MBC every1’s Show! Champion, he claimed the top trophy once again, marking his first-ever solo double win on music shows.
Regarding this, KEY said:
“I hoped this album would be like a gift to my fans, but it feels like they gave me the gift instead. I know very well that winning first place on a music show at this point in my career isn’t easy, so I’m even more grateful. I thank everyone who worked hard to bring ‘HUNTER’ to life, and I want to continue giving only good things to my fans.”
Additionally, KEY also achieved a double win on the Circle Chart’s music category, ranking first on the weekly downloads and BGM charts (from August 10 to 16). His album also received a strong response from global music fans, reaching the iTunes Top 10 albums chart in 27 different regions.
KEY’s third studio album “HUNTER” consists of 10 tracks spanning various genres, including the title track “Hunter,” a dramatic dance song expressing the “painful joy” found in a complex relationship marked by the “I’s” obsession with the other.
Meanwhile, KEY is scheduled to perform his new song “Hunter” today (August 23) on MBC’s Show! Music Core stage.
