Rapper DOK2 has announced that he is being sued for defamation.
On September 4, DOK2 revealed on his social media that he is facing an accusation of defamation by publication. He stated:
“I’m still in the U.S., but I was told that the police went to my older brother’s place in Korea to arrest me for defamation by publication.”
He added:
“They say if I don’t show up for questioning tomorrow, I’ll be arrested. If it’s for defamation by publication, that means someone listened to my rap lyrics and filed a complaint. So who is this amazing person who listens to my rap and decides to file a lawsuit?”
Then he continued:
“Don’t you really have anything better to do? That’s the life of a real MC. Is it a crime for a rapper to say what they think? Real MCs, raise your hands.”
Meanwhile, DOK2 recently settled his tax payments, including local taxes and health insurance contributions, totaling 672 million won (about 460,000 euros).
