THE8, a member of SEVENTEEN, has revealed a distinctive artistic vision through a music film that merges music with visual storytelling.
On September 7, PLEDIS Entertainment released the music film for THE8’s self-composed track “Star crossing night (feat. GALI)” on SEVENTEEN’s official YouTube channel. Inspired by the lyric “a clock without direction” (没有方向的钟), the film portrays THE8’s surreal journey through a dreamlike world, rich in ethereal and artistic imagery.
THE8 collaborated with the renowned international fashion and culture magazine Wonderland. to produce the music film. Having previously appeared on the cover of the magazine last year, he now graces the cover of the upcoming October UK edition as part of this project. The photoshoot will also appear in Wonderland China.
The song “Star crossing night (feat. GALI)” reflects the perspective of a narrator reminiscing about a past love. Blending elements of electronic music and R&B, the track evokes a sense of longing, elevated by emotional and expressive vocals.
In addition, THE8 is set to headline the YJ (Yue Jian Chao Xiang / 위에 지엔 차오 시앙) music festival in Beijing on September 21, marking his first solo appearance at a music festival.
