ROSE
She has evolved from being a member of an iconic Kpop girl group to becoming a leading solo artist.

ROSÉ, member of BLACKPINK and now a solo artist, made history at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), one of the four major U.S. music award shows, by winning “Song of the Year.” This marks the first time a K‑Pop artist has claimed a major VMA award.
At the ceremony held at New York’s UBS Arena on the evening of September 7, ROSÉ accepted the S”ong of the Year” trophy for “APT.”, her collaboration with global superstar Bruno Mars.
Draped in an elegant golden sequin gown, she appeared on stage, visibly moved, and said:
“I can’t believe this.”
She continued,
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Bruno for trusting and supporting me. This moment feels like the reward for all our hard wor, I accept this award with joy.”
This win follows from a record-breaking eight VMA nominations, the most ever for a Kpop artist, all for “APT.” and her solo track “Toxic Till the End.”
Additionally, all former BLACKPINK members were nominated in the “Best KPop” category this year. LISA took home the trophy for “Best KPop” with her collaboration “Born again” featuring Doja Cat and Raye, her third win in that category.
