GOLDEN CHILD member HONG JOOCHAN successfully wrapped up his very first solo fanmeeting.
Held on September 13 and 14 at the Under the Clouds Theater in Mapo-gu, Seoul, the fanmeeting titled “주빛밤: Hidden Track” (translated as “Joo’s Light Night: Hidden Track”) gave him the opportunity to share special moments with fans from all around the world.
He kicked off the show with high energy, performing covers of “어떤가요” and “문제아.” Explaining the meaning behind the event’s title, he said: “Just like a hidden track, I wanted to show you special performances and different sides of myself that are reserved only for you here,” which received a warm reaction from the audience.
JOOCHAN then delivered a diverse setlist, ranging from “Starry in the night”, the OST from the drama “Missing crown prince”, which received much love last year, to GOLDEN CHILD songs such as “OMG,” “Singing in the rain,” “I know,” “YTMOB (You Turn Me On Baby),” and “All day,” setting the stage on fire with each performance.
He also showcased his gentle tone and powerful vocals as the main vocalist of GOLDEN CHILD through covers like D.O.’s “Popcorn” and Jung Seung Hwan’s “Epilogue.” One particularly memorable moment was when he impressed the audience by playing the violin during his cover of Danny Koo’s “Will you be my home” and the electric guitar for Radiohead’s “Creep,” proving not only his vocal talent but also his musical skills, giving fans a true “healing for the ears” experience.
JOOCHAN also performed his brand-new unreleased track “Rise & shine” live for the first time, filling the venue with excitement. Accompanied by a rich live band sound, his powerful vocals captivated the audience both visually and aurally.
Staying true to the radio show concept of the event, several interactive segments with fans also stood out. In the “Hidden Joochan” corner, he revealed personal TMI stories related to objects hidden in an image. In “Hidden Story,” he read pre-written fan messages and delivered live a cappella renditions of their song requests, providing top-tier fan service that completely won over the audience.
