The pop duo MARRAKECH is back with its second EP album.

On September 16 at noon KST, MARRAKECH (consisting of Kim Youngwook and Jo Sungha) released its second EP album titled “COLORS” on various music streaming platforms.
“COLORS” is its first album in nearly five years, following their debut EP “SHAPE”, released in July 2020. While “SHAPE” outlined the contours of MARRAKECH’s musical universe, “COLORS” now reveals its colors. One way to appreciate this EP is to imagine the color each track evokes.
Before the official EP release, MARRAKECH surprised fans by launching an official website on September 5. The site showcased the album title, cover art, release date, and a preview of the tracks, building excitement among fans eagerly awaiting their return.
“COLORS” includes five tracks in total, featuring two lead singles: “You” and “Out of time.” The EP opens with “Whiteout,” marking the start of a new chapter, followed by “Jane Birkin,” a song named in tribute to the iconic and captivating actress. Next comes the first lead single, “You,” which expresses intense attraction and the thrill of the moment, then “Out of time,” the second main single, which compares romantic emotions to a game. Finally, “Cage” stands out with its emotional intensity conveyed through the instrumentation. The entire EP shines with a rich and varied sonic palette.
MARRAKECH is a duo made up of KIM YOUNGWOOK and JO SUNGHA, who debuted in 2019 with the single “FLOATING.” Since then, they have released seven singles and one EP, steadily evolving within an alternative pop genre rooted in nu-disco. Their style, both romantic and minimalist, is characterized by a refined sensitivity unique to MARRAKECH, expressing the dance rhythms of the genre with restrained elegance.
Furthermore, following the release of “COLORS” on September 16 at noon KST, MARRAKECH will continue their activities with a live concert scheduled for September 20 as part of a collaboration between Magic Strawberry Sound and Spotify titled “MEETING ROOM 004: Kim Seungju, Marrakech, A Wordless Orange”.
