Singer YOUNGBIN is making her debut in the music industry with a unique concept.
On September 17 at 6 PM KST, YOUNGBIN will release her first digital single “FREAK SHOW” on all streaming platforms and simultaneously drop the “FREAK SHOW” music video on JYP Entertainment’s official YouTube channel.
The eponymous track “Freak show” is a rhythmic pop dance song, featuring catchy basslines and fresh guitar riffs. It playfully and cleverly expresses a confident attitude of proudly embracing one’s innate differences. The release also includes an English version faithful to the original, bringing the song closer to international fans.
The track was co-composed by J.Y. Park (Park Jin-young), JYP Entertainment’s chief producer, while Jeon Gandi and YOUNGBIN contributed to the lyrics, further emphasizing the singer’s unique artistic identity.
Ahead of the release, YOUNGBIN unveiled an intro film, concept photos, teaser images, a performance video, and a music video teaser, building anticipation. Teasers released on September 15 and 16 highlighted YOUNGBIN’s distinctive style and striking visuals, boosting excitement for her comeback.
In January, YOUNGBIN finished second place on KBS 2TV’s variety show “The Ddanddara”, showcasing her talent and immense potential. As a singer, dancer, actress, and performance creator, she establishes herself as a versatile entertainer, attracting widespread attention.
