Singer Jay Park has unveiled, to everyone’s surprise, a brand-new idol group he produced.
On September 19, Jay Park took the stage at a festival held on the Seoul campus of Hanyang University, located in the Seongdong district. Proving once again why he’s invited year after year to perform at college festivals, he lit up the stage with dazzling showmanship and a commanding live performance that energized the crowd.
The rookie boy group LNGSHOT (Long Shot, 롱샷), created by Jay Park, made a surprise appearance and performed a brand-new song ahead of its official release, capturing the audience’s attention. The fact that the group showcased an unreleased track on stage before any details about them had been revealed added a striking sense of freshness and excitement.
After the event, Jay Park drew even more attention by posting photos of the group members on Instagram and tagging the official account of LNGSHOT (Long Shot).
He also added hashtags such as “#itsalngshotbutwelltakeit” and “#middlefingertothenorm,” expressing the boldness and ambition behind LNGSHOT (Long Shot).
Previously, at another university festival, Jay Park had already teased the group by revealing its name, the members’ first names, a new song, and photos where the members’ faces were hidden. This time, he introduced the members of LNGSHOT (Long Shot) directly to the audience and announced: “The debut is scheduled for January next year”, further heightening anticipation for their official launch.
LNGSHOT (Long Shot) is the first boy group to be introduced under MORE VISION, the agency Jay Park founded in 2022. The group consists of four members: OHYUL, RYUL, WOOJIN, and LOUIS. They are currently stepping up preparations for their official debut planned for January.
