G-DRAGON
“Home sweet home“, the king of K-pop, G-DRAGON, was back in Paris.

G-DRAGON is an artist who needs no introduction today. The famous leader of the legendary group BIGBANG has established himself over the years as an undisputed legend of the K-pop scene. Whether in music, fashion, or culture, his influence is undeniable: G-DRAGON is today a true international icon.
Eight years after his first solo concert in Paris during his “ACT III: M.O.T.T.E WORLD TOUR” in 2017, G-DRAGON is back on stage in the French capital. After causing a sensation at the 2025 Gala des Pièces Jaunes, French VIPs (BIG BANG’s fandom name) and FAM (G-DRAGON’s fandom name) were delighted to learn that Paris would be part of the “G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [ÜBERMENSCH]” which celebrates the comeback of the king of K-pop. Invited by AEG France, KSTATION TV had the honour of attending G-DRAGON’s only European concert, which took place at Paris La Défense Arena on September 20th.

As the concert hall turns red, the room begins to rumble, and G-DRAGON appears, ready to immerse us in the world of “ÜBERMENSCH“, his latest album. And what better choice than “Power“, his comeback track, to celebrate his concert in one of the biggest European venues. Indeed, this concert marks a historic moment: G-DRAGON becomes the very first solo K-pop artist to play, to a sold-out crowd, at Paris La Défense Arena. An achievement all the more remarkable since it is also the largest concert given in France by a solo K-pop artist, with 45,000 fans gathered to celebrate his comeback.
Therefore, after a powerful first performance that reminds us that the king of K-pop is back, “Home sweet home“, “Michigo” and “One of a kind” resound in the arena creating a fiery atmosphere. Between choreography, explosive light shows, pyrotechnic effects and the presence of a live band, everything is there to remind us that “here’s your boy GD babe” as he himself says. And it is certainly not the performance of “Crayon” that will say the opposite. Highly anticipated by the fans, the latter makes the room vibrate, which then transforms into the colours of G-DRAGON.

For the second part of the evening, a VCR is broadcast, expressing the concept of “ÜBERMENSCH“, a term taken from the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche, which designates an individual who has transcended traditional boundaries and conventions to reach a state of higher evolution, both personally and artistically.
Carried by this reflection, G-DRAGON reappears on stage with “Bonamana“, introducing a new, deeper and more personal sequence of the concert. This atmosphere continues with “Butterfly“, which plunges us into the heart of G-DRAGON‘s thoughts, between fragility, questioning, and rebirth. But very quickly, the tone changes, as G-DRAGON takes us backstage with him to prepare for “I love it“, a funky track celebrating love in a cabaret-like setting.
A lighter atmosphere continues with “Who you?“, then “Today” where G-DRAGON gets closer to the fans in the pit, creating a unique moment of complicity with his fans. Finally, “Crooked” turns the evening into an explosion of energy where the fans dance and sing along with G-DRAGON transforming the arena into a giant party.

While the final part of this concert opens with a holographic introduction from beatboxer WING, G-DRAGON returns to the stage in a more romantic universe with “Heartbreaker“, dressed in a tailor-made outfit evoking the iconic Coco Chanel. This romantic tone continues with “Take me” whose ingenious scenography will be remembered where G-DRAGON disappears behind a sheet to transform into a guitarist paying homage to NILE RODGERS‘ guitar solo.
A romantic universe interspersed with more hip-hop and funk performances. We notably find “Bullshit” which was remixed for the occasion with “Not like us” by KENDRICK LAMAR and “Zutter“, or even “Too bad” whose dance break once again echoes the Moulin Rouge by remixing “Lady marmalade” by CHRISTINA AGUILERA, LIL’ KIM, MYA and P!NK in the title.
Buoyed by French chants of encouragement and a vibrant cover of the classic “Bang bang bang” by the audience, G-DRAGON takes a moment to talk with his fans. In an emotional atmosphere, he reflects on this pivotal period in his life before announcing news that many have been eagerly awaiting. As BIGBANG celebrates its 20th anniversary next year, G-DRAGON officially announces the group’s comeback. A comeback that is taking shape with BIGBANG‘s presence at the COACHELLA festival.
Finally, with the fans’ energy unstoppable, G-DRAGON announces the end of the evening with “Drama“, from his album “ÜBERMENSCH“. In this poignant ballad, he shares his most intimate feelings, navigating several languages to better touch each of us. The emotion is palpable: a gentle, almost universal melancholy fills the room, creating a moment suspended in time.
“Drama” thus stands out as a touching conclusion, a final sincere note to close the “ÜBERMENSCH” chapter. Through this song, and more broadly through this concert, G-DRAGON reveals himself, without artifice. He shows us not only the artist he has become after a 19-year career, but above all, the man he is today, after these eight years of hiatus.

But the fans aren’t ready to leave Paris La Défense Arena. After a karaoke performance of “A boy,” G-DRAGON returned to the stage one last time with his cover of “Can’t help falling in love” by ELVIS PRESLEY and “This love” by MAROON 5, setting the room on fire. To end the evening as it should be, G-DRAGON joined his fans in the pit and in the stands near the stage for a final moment of complicity on “Ibelongiiu” and “Gyro-drop“. Then came a final, touching and particularly sincere performance of “Untitled, 2014.” Alone on stage, G-DRAGON thanked his fans for their presence and support before promising to be back soon, but this time accompanied.
“I couldn’t have done it without you, so thank you from the bottom of my heart. See you soon in Paris.” In French: “Je t’aime (I love you.)” – G-DRAGON
Finally, what we will remember from this concert is G-DRAGON‘s undeniable talent. He brilliantly reaffirmed his title as the king of K-pop, revealing the full extent of his versatility through a unique concert in Paris. The meticulous stage design and immersive storytelling transported us not only to the heart of the album “ÜBERMENSCH” but also to the heart of G-DRAGON‘s thoughts. Moreover, the fans in attendance shared their joy at seeing the artist on stage again, with a powerful energy that lasted throughout the evening, making this concert truly magical.
