SEVENTEEN’s new special duo, S.COUPS X MINGYU, has unveiled excerpts from their entire new album for the first time.
On September 22, S.COUPS X MINGYU released a highlight medley of their first mini-album “HYPE VIBES” on SEVENTEEN’s official social media. While previous dance challenges only gave a glimpse of the title track and its choreography, this video previews the melody and lyrics of all the tracks.
The main focus is on the lead single, “5, 4, 3 (Pretty woman) (feat. Lay Bankz)”. This track interpolates Roy Orbison’s hit “Oh, Pretty Woman”, adding a playful disco touch to the familiar melody, creating a festive atmosphere. With direct lyrics like “She’s on fire” and “So spicy”, the song openly expresses the intense attraction of two men toward a captivating woman. The accompanying video is amusing: S.COUPS, excited after receiving a message, and MINGYU, waiting for a reply, both get the same cheeky response, “See you next time”, in a romantic-comedy style twist.

The album’s fluid structure, true to its title HYPE VIBES FLOW, links different moments of daily life: a morning jog, a sunny car ride, water games at dusk, and a fiery night party. Each listener can choose the track that fits their own moment and fully immerse themselves in the music.
S.COUPS X MINGYU’s first mini-album “HYPE VIBES” will be released on September 29 at 6 PM KST. Both artists contributed to the writing and composition of all the songs, infusing their tastes and emotions into the album. The title track challenge has already generated an explosive response, accumulating nearly 100 million views in just four days.
Today (September 23) at 6 PM, the duo will appear on the web show Salon Drip 2 on TEO’s YouTube channel, also showcasing their sense of humor. According to Pledis Entertainment, the group’s label under Hybe Music Group, a pop-up store will be held to celebrate the album release starting September 30 on the 6th floor of I’Park Mall in Yongsan, Seoul.
