The EXO member and solo artist XIUMIN unveils the details of his new musical project.
The agency INB100 released on October 15th, via their official social media, an image including a keyword interview and the tracklist of his upcoming single “OVERDROP”, generating excitement for his comeback. The image contains not only the tracklist but also XIUMIN’s candid answers to questions about the album’s keywords.
XIUMIN cited “fill me to the brim” as his favorite line from “Overdrop”, announcing the explosive energy of the song. He also encouraged fans to pay attention to the details: “Both songs have very different vibes,” sparking curiosity about the musical contrasts between the tracks.
According to the released image, the single will contain two tracks: “Overdrop” and “Fireflies”. The title track “Overdrop” is a pop-dance song marked by a rising sonic intensity, combining tense lyrics and a dynamic rhythm to deliver explosive energy. The second track, “Fireflies”, is a pop R&B song with a synthetic sound evoking fireflies and an urban style, where XIUMIN’s delicate voice overlays the lyrical melody, offering a warm, comforting sensation.
After about seven months, XIUMIN will present with “Overdrop” a rich musical spectrum alternating intensity and softness. The track was pre-announced during the fan concert “X Times ( )” ENCORE, where “Overdrop” and “Fireflies” received an enthusiastic response, increasing anticipation for the official release.
The digital single “OVERDROP” by XIUMIN will be available on October 20th at 6 PM KST on all music platforms.
