KATSEYE
The international girl group KATSEYE, managed by HYBE and Geffen Records, has once again broken its own record on the UK Official Charts.
According to the “Official Singles Top 100” for October 17–23, “Gabriela” from KATSEYE’s second EP “BEAUTIFUL CHAOS” climbed to number 38. Even four months after its release, the song rose one spot compared to the previous week, demonstrating remarkable longevity.
“Gabriela” initially debuted at number 42 just after its release in June. After a brief hiatus, it re-entered the chart in August at position 97, following a passionate performance at the major U.S. festival Lollapalooza Chicago, and then surged upward, confirming its status as a “long-term hit.”
On the same day, on the Spotify “Weekly Top Song Global” chart (October 10–16), KATSEYE also made an impact: “Gabriela” ranked 22nd, remaining on the chart for 17 consecutive weeks. Other tracks, “Gnarly” and “Touch”, also maintained positions at 108 (24 cumulative weeks) and 167 (21 cumulative weeks), respectively.
In the U.S., KATSEYE continues to rise on Billboard. On the main “BILLBOARD 200” chart (October 18), “BEAUTIFUL CHAOS” gained nine spots to reach number 30, regaining momentum after debuting at number 4 on July 12 and remaining for 15 consecutive weeks on the chart.
“Gabriela” also reached number 54 on the “Hot 100” and climbed to number 17 on the Pop Airplay chart, setting a new personal record for the group.
KATSEYE will begin its first North American tour in November, with 16 concerts across 13 cities including Minneapolis, Toronto, Boston, New York, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Sugarland, Irving, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Mexico. In April, the group will also perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Formed through the global audition project “THE DEBUT: DREAM ACADEMY”, which attracted 120,000 applicants, KATSEYE was selected to join HYBE America’s T&D (Training & Development) system and debuted in the U.S. in June, embodying Bang Si Hyuk’s vision of globalizing the K-pop system.
