Singer AOORA shone as an artist representing Korea in Dubai.

AOORA won the K-POP Artist of the Year award at “제9회 Distinctive International Arab Festivals Awards” (DIAFA 2025), held on November 26 (local time) in Dubai.
On that day, AOORA, alongside international actors such as ALEX ULOOM from the United States and JUMANA MURAD from Syria, was invited to the ceremony as Korea’s representative, marking his recognition as a leading Korean artist. AOORA delivered a message in five languages, Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati, English, and Korean, earning a massive ovation from the multinational audience, affirming his identity as an artist bridging KPOP with Indian and Middle Eastern cultures.

To celebrate this distinction, AOORA performed live his hit “Jimmy Jimmy (K-POP Version)”, a modern KPOP reinterpretation of a Bollywood classic that made an impact in India in the 1980s, giving the audience a joyful moment. After winning the FilmFare Middle East Awards last year in Dubai, he followed this year with the DIAFA award, once again demonstrating his strong presence on the international stage.
Notably, AOORA actively builds his “fusion K-POP” style, combining KPOP with Indian music to reach a new global audience. His single “김치도사 (Kimchi Dosa)”, incorporating Tamil music elements, achieved strong success in southern India and is praised as a “new model for K-POP expansion” in South Asia and the Middle East markets.
AOORA conducts dynamic activities in South and West Asia, India, the Middle East, and Kazakhstan, building a solid fanbase, rare for a South Korean KPOP artist. This DIAFA award symbolizes growing international recognition of his “global localization” approach through fusion K-POP and raises high expectations for the next stages of his career.
