NAM WOO HYUN: A first for “Sugar,” a challenge taken

Singer NAM WOO HYUN delivered a remarkable performance in the premiere of the musical “Sugar”.

On December 14 at 2:30 PM KST, NAM WOO HYUN took the stage at the Seoul KEPCO Art Center Grand Theatre, portraying the character Jo (Josephine) before an enthusiastic audience.

The musical “Sugar” is adapted from the classic comedy film “Some like it hot“. Set during the Prohibition era of 1929, the story follows two jazz musicians who, after witnessing a gang-related murder, disguise themselves as women to join a female band and save their lives, leading to a series of hilarious and chaotic situations.

In the role of Jo, a romantic saxophonist forced to cross-dress for survival, NAM WOO HYUN showcased his full stage experience and vocal power as INFINITE’s main vocalist, captivating the audience with a complete and charismatic performance. His portrayal balanced sharp wit and quirky humor, while his makeup and expressive gestures added a spectacular touch, earning a well-deserved standing ovation.
