The Korean premiere of the hit Broadway musical “FROZEN” will begin next August 13.
The production company S&CO (produced by producers SEOL DO KWON and SHIN DONG WON) announced that the musical “FROZEN” would begin on August 13 at the Charlotte Theater in Seoul.
As opening approaches, public anticipation is also rising. Insofar as this work loved around the world is realized for the first time on a Korean stage, attention is focusing on the famous scenes symbolizing “FROZEN”.
The immense world of ice that unfolds in the scene of “Let it go”, as well as “Love is an open door”, will be staged thanks to music, choreography and special effects by a world-class production team accumulating a total of 18 Tony Awards, while the passionate performance of the Korean actors who will embody loved characters such as ELSA and ANNA is also considered a key point of the show.
This work, evaluated as “simply pure magic”, is completed by the stage of 47 Korean actors selected during auditions. In the role of ELSA, Jung Sun Ah, Jung Yu Ji and Min Kyung Ah were cast, while Park Jin Joo, Hong Geum Bi and Choi Ji Hye were chosen for the role of ANNA. The role of KRISTOFF is entrusted to Cha Youn Hae and Shin Jae Beom, the role of HANS is played by Kim Won Bin and Hwang Geon Ha, and the role of OLAF is played by Jung Won Young, Han Gyu Jung and Lee Chang Ho. To this is added the strength of supporting actors, ensemble and swings with solid talent.
Ticket sales will open on Wednesday, August 19 at 2 p.m. KST, and it will be possible to book for performances from Tuesday, October 13 to Sunday, November 8. During the performance period, matinees on Wednesday, October 21 and Wednesday, November 4 at 2:30 p.m., as well as Fridays at 2:30 p.m., are included.
The Seoul performance, a commemorative work for the 20th anniversary of the opening of the Charlotte Theater, will continue from August 13 to March 1 of next year, and the Busan performance is scheduled to begin in 2027 at the Dream Theatre.
