OMEGA X
A decisive step, explained with transparency.

On January 16 at 6:00 PM KST, the agency IPQ released an official statement regarding OMEGA X’s upcoming comeback, expected in 2026. While announcements surrounding this new project had generated strong anticipation, this statement clarifies an essential point: the lineup of members who will participate in the activities for the upcoming album.
For this comeback, OMEGA X will appear with seven members. JAEHAN, SEBIN, XEN, JEHYUN, KEVIN, and YECHAN will be joined by HWICHAN, whose return is scheduled after the completion of his military service in April. This decision is part of an overall consideration by the company, taking into account each member’s personal situation, health, and individual commitments.
The announcement also specifies that JUNGHOON and HYUK will not take part in the activities for this album. While this decision was difficult, it is the result of long discussions and a shared desire to preserve both the quality of the project and the well-being of the artists concerned, a key point emphasized by IPQ.
Through this communication, the agency stresses its respect for the members’ choices and its commitment to supporting each of them, whether or not they directly participate in promotions. The message is intended above all to be honest and respectful toward FOR X (the name of the fandom), acknowledging possible disappointment while calling for understanding.
Official statement:
“Hello, this is IPQ.
We sincerely thank FOR X for the unwavering love and support you always give to OMEGA X.
As we approach OMEGA X’s 2026 comeback project, we would like to inform you regarding the lineup of members who will participate in the activities for this album.
The new album project scheduled for 2026 will proceed with a total of seven members: JAEHAN, SEBIN, XEN, JEHYUN, KEVIN, YECHAN, as well as HWICHAN, who will return after fulfilling his military duty next April.
Regarding this lineup for the activities, the company made its decision after carefully reviewing the individual situation of each artist.
First, in the case of HYUK, due to the execution of his already scheduled future individual commitments, it is difficult for him to carry out album activities at a sufficiently complete level. As for JUNGHOON, for health-related reasons, it was determined that it would still be difficult for him to fully endure the intensive training and long periods of stage performances required for the preparation of the new album.
Accordingly, after long and in-depth discussions with the artists, it was decided that JUNGHOON and HYUK will unfortunately not participate in the activities for this album.
Above all, we can only express our sincerest apologies for the concern caused by this sudden announcement to FOR X, who were eagerly awaiting OMEGA X’s activities as a complete group. We once again offer our sincere apologies to the fans who hoped to see all the members together, and we ask for your deep understanding and generous consideration.
Although these activities will proceed with seven members, JUNGHOON and HYUK will also continue to support the members wholeheartedly and do their best in their respective positions. The company will respect the artists’ wishes and spare no effort in fully supporting all members so that they can continue their activities in good health.
We thank you in advance for the enthusiastic anticipation and constant encouragement you will give to this new journey of OMEGA X, which will be built in harmony with FOR X.
Thank you.”
A new chapter will open for OMEGA X with its comeback scheduled for 2026.
