BAE173 member HANGYUL is concluding his exclusive contract with POCKETDOL STUDIO.
POCKETDOL STUDIO officially announced, “HANGYUL’s exclusive contract will come to an end on the 28th.”
The agency added, “It has been a precious journey of about 10 years that we shared together, during which we watched each other grow. We sincerely thank HANGYUL for his constant passion and effort. Even though our exclusive contract is ending, we will wholeheartedly support his future activities and new challenges.”
CEO KIM KWANGSOO also shared a personal message: “HANGYUL is someone who always stayed firmly by my side, whether the company was doing well or facing difficulties. He has been a colleague, a friend, and like a younger brother to me. I am truly grateful for the time we spent together.”
He continued, “In my 41 years in this industry, I have met many artists, but it is rare to encounter someone like HANGYUL, who quietly holds his place with sincerity. Because he is especially dear to me, I sincerely congratulate, bless, and support him as he begins a new chapter.”
HANGYUL trained under the agency for around a decade. After debuting in 2017 with the group IM, he gained recognition by finishing 13th on KBS2’s “The Unit”. He later rose to wider fame as a final member selected through “PRODUCE X 101″, promoting as part of the project group X1. He subsequently carried out pre-debut activities in the unit H&D with NAM DOHYON before officially debuting with BAE173 on November 19, 2020, and continuing active group promotions.
More recently, he was chosen as a final member on the survival program “Starlight Boys”, taking on a new challenge alongside his activities with the group POLARIX.
Attention is now focused on the new path HANGYUL will take after closing this 10-year chapter of his career.
