BLACKPINK’s JENNIE has become the owner of a 20 billion won building.

According to Korea Economic TV on February 11, JENNIE purchased a building in Dongbinggo-dong, Yongsan District, Seoul, for 20 billion won (approximately 12 million euros) last May, and completed the ownership transfer in December of the same year.
Based on the land registry, no separate mortgage was established, leading to estimates that the purchase was made entirely in cash.
The building, constructed in 1970, consists of one basement level and two above-ground floors. It is located in the northern area where many embassy residences are concentrated and is currently being used as the Embassy of Iraq in South Korea.
Dongbinggo-dong is drawing attention as development in the area accelerates in connection with the nearby redevelopment of Hannam New Town and the creation of Yongsan Park.
In 2023, JENNIE also made headlines by purchasing a luxury apartment at Leterasse Hannam in Yongsan’s UN Village for 5 billion won in cash, without taking out a loan.
Meanwhile, JENNIE is preparing to return with BLACKPINK. The group will release their third mini-album, “DEADLINE,” on February 27 at 2 p.m. KST.
