BoA
Singer BOA has launched a contest to name her new official fanclub through her agency BAPAL ENTERTAINMENT.

On March 4, a new post was published on the agency’s official Instagram account. In this post related to a previous image, only BOA removes a paper bag covering her face, revealing her identity, while announcing: “The contest for BOA’s official fanclub has begun!”
Fans’ reactions have been mixed. Some express excitement about this new beginning, while others question the abandonment of existing names. Until now, her fanclubs were called “Jumping BOA” in Korea and “SOUL” in Japan.

Comments express doubts, with some wondering whether these names can no longer be used or whether SM ENTERTAINMENT, her former agency, may not have transferred the rights. Others find it unusual to change a fanclub name simply after a change of agency.
The exact reason for this change has not yet been revealed. It could be about creating a unified fanclub for Korean and Japanese fans, or a constraint related to rights over the former names.
As a reminder, BOA debuted in 2000 and ended her contract with SM ENTERTAINMENT in 2025. On March 3, she announced a new beginning by founding BAPAL ENTERTAINMENT.
