Executive producer YANG HYUN SUK personally appeared to announce the major updates planned this year for YG ENTERTAINMENT.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of BIGBANG’s debut, and YANG HYUN SUK stated: “We have agreed with the members of BIGBANG to hold a concert,” emphasizing the strength of the “YG familyship”.
YANG HYUN SUK added: “As we have worked together for a long time, I don’t think there will be any difficulties. All YG staff members will do their best to create a perfect and excellent performance.”
Meanwhile, YANG HYUN SUK explained: “BABYMONSTER will release a mini-album in May, then a second full-length album this fall. The title track of the mini-album is “Choom”. Starting in June, they will hold their second world tour, which will pass through South America, Europe, and Oceania.”
He continued about TREASURE: “Starting with the mini-album to be released in June, they will truly open the second chapter of their activities. The members suddenly came to see me saying they wanted to do hip-hop. You can look forward to cool and typically YG music that they have never shown before.”
Finally, YANG HYUN SUK stated: “This year marks the 30th anniversary of YG. Rather than expressing particular feelings, I want to say that we will continue to work hard here, without losing our original intention, until the 40th and 50th anniversaries,” adding: “We will further refine our productions to bring you good news throughout the year.”
