2NE1 - CL, PARK BOM
The group 2NE1 (PARK BOM) has practically entered a state of internal division due to repeated eccentric behaviors and the war of revelations involving member PARK BOM.
On March 6, it was confirmed that leader CL unfollowed the official Instagram account of PARK BOM. After SANDARA PARK, who had distanced herself by responding to PARK BOM’s unilateral revelation with “I have never taken drugs,” CL also joined the list of unfollows. Currently, among the members of 2NE1, only the youngest GONG MINZY still follows PARK BOM’s account.
The origin of this matter goes back to the handwritten letter that PARK BOM published on March 3. In this letter, she shockingly claimed that “SANDARA PARK was taken for drugs, and to cover this they turned me into a drug user.” She also directly mentioned former agency head Yang Hyun Suk, producer Teddy, as well as member CL, firmly stating “Do not do things like reporting to the country that I used more drugs than the prescribed amount.”
This is not the first time PARK BOM has adopted sudden behavior. Since last year, she has notably claimed to have suffered “more than 100 trillion won in damages from former representative Yang Hyun Suk,” mentioning a strange embezzlement scandal. She also spread false information claiming she was dating actor LEE MINHO, even going so far as to publish manipulated photos, sparking controversy. At the time, LEE MINHO’s side firmly denied it, stating “We do not even have a friendly relationship,” but PARK BOM’s obsession did not stop.
Agency officials are also expressing their difficulties. One of them stated that “PARK BOM is in a very emotionally unstable state and even those around her cannot control her,” thus practically acknowledging the limits of managing the situation.
Last year, 2NE1 marked the 15th anniversary of its debut with a spectacular reunion and successfully completed a world tour, moving fans around the world. However, even before the emotion of that reunion could fade, PARK BOM’s “attacks against the group” and the series of members’ “unfollows” could deal a fatal blow that would be difficult to reverse to the future activities of 2NE1.
