Entertainment group HYBE will enter the video podcast market in collaboration with the global audio and music streaming platform SPOTIFY.

On March 6, HYBE announced that it had signed a global content partnership with SPOTIFY and will open a dedicated video podcast channel. This partnership provides that HYBE will plan and produce the video content while SPOTIFY will distribute it worldwide.
HYBE has paid attention to the expanding influence of video podcasts on the global music market. Through the SPOTIFY platform, which has more than 751 million users worldwide, the goal is to naturally lead users to discover K-pop while exploring content.
HYBE will reveal the name of the channel on March 23 and will simultaneously launch the official channel. The content will be offered in omnibus format, featuring artists from labels affiliated with HYBE as well as creators from various fields, discussing music and daily life. The first videos will be released gradually starting in April.
The production of this content will be handled by HYBE MEDIA STUDIO (HMS), the internal organization dedicated to video within HYBE. HYBE plans to use its accumulated video production system and specialized personnel to cover the entirety of K-pop culture through the video podcast format.
The general manager for the Asia-Pacific region of SPOTIFY, Gautam Talwar, explained: “Through this partnership with HYBE, we will convey more closely the personality of the artists and their creative process.” A HYBE official stated: “Through this new format, we will continue to expand points of contact with the fan audience.”
