The K-culture fan platform BERRIZ from KAKAO ENTERTAINMENT celebrated its first anniversary of launch on March 24.

KAKAO ENTER stated: “Since the beginning of the official service in March of last year, fans loving various K-cultures in 202 countries across the world registered on BERRIZ” and added: “Among them, the share of foreign subscribers represents 80%, showing a stable growth as a global fan platform.”
According to KAKAO ENTER, the countries of the subscribers are the most numerous in Korea, followed by Indonesia, the United States, Taiwan and China. It indicated that fans not only from Asia but also from North America and everywhere in the world are active on BERRIZ.
BERRIZ currently has communities and fan stores for K-pop singers such as IU, IVE, I-DLE, as well as for various content intellectual property (IP) such as “PINGGYEGO” and “OUR BALLAD”.
Among them, the communities having the highest proportion of global fans were IVE, I-DLE and KIIIKIII.
The cumulative number of supports paid during the lives organized on BERRIZ over the past year amounted to a total of 60 million, or an average of 2 times per second. The cumulative number of “Likes” in which global fans participated was 13 million, and the cumulative number of messages written was 2 million.
In addition, the “Top 5” of messages written by artists having recorded the largest number of cumulative comments was entirely composed of IU. The artist having visited BERRIZ most often was MONSTA X.
Furthermore, KAKAO ENTER reported that the “AI Persona” presented in the communities of works such as dramas was evaluated as having expanded the field of fan activities. The AI Persona is a content where an AI having learned the story, the world view and the personality of the characters of the work chats and exchanges with fans.
KAKAO ENTER explained: “BERRIZ, as a global fan platform, developed over the past year as a space where fans from the whole world meet and communicate more closely with artists and content IPs” and added: “We will continue to strengthen our competitiveness so that fans can enjoy a richer communication experience through various K-culture IPs and services based on technology.”
