BINI
The Philippines conquered the Californian desert.
Composed of JHOANNA, AIAH, COLET, MALOI, GWEN, STACEY, MIKHA and SHEENA, the group BINI made history by becoming the first Philippine formation to set foot on the stage of the “COACHELLA” festival. Formed by the Star Hunt Academy of the agency STAR MAGIC, these eight artists transformed the Mojave stage into a true celebration of the “Binibini” culture, combining a modern aesthetic with an overflowing energy that captivated an international crowd.
Their forty-two minute set was a demonstration of vocal and choreographic mastery, beginning with the communicative energy of “Shagidi”. The group then followed with titles from its discography, notably the track “Zero pressure” and the very popular “Salamin, salamin”, perfectly illustrating its hybrid style between acid pop and catchy rhythms. Each member was able to shine individually, reinforcing the cohesion of a group which, after having dominated the rankings in the Philippines with its album “FLAMES”, now proves its legitimacy on the world stage.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the performance of their flagship title, “Pantropiko”. From the first notes, a summery and refreshing atmosphere took over the stage. The members delivered an impeccable vocal performance, notably during the harmonized choruses that evoke the warmth of the islands. The choreography, both fluid and precise, reached its peak during the final bridge, where BINI interacted with the audience, creating a palpable connection. The video captured on site testifies to the enthusiasm of the “BLOOM” present, as the group concluded its historic passage under a deserved ovation.

This step at “COACHELLA” is only the beginning of a new era for Philippine music internationally.
