STRAY KIDS has been nominated for the second year in a row at the American Music Awards (AMA).

According to the list of nominees published on April 14 (local time) on the official AMA website, STRAY KIDS is featured in the “Best Male K-Pop Artist” category for the 2026 edition, which will be held on May 25.
After becoming the second K-pop group in history to perform on the stage of this ceremony in 2024, they were nominated in 2025 in the “Favorite K-Pop Artist” and “Favorite Soundtrack” categories. This year, interest from fans worldwide is at an all-time high as the group vies for the “Best Male K-Pop Artist” award, marking their second consecutive year among the nominees. The AMAs are considered, along with the Grammy Awards and the Billboard Music Awards, to be one of the three major music award ceremonies in the United States.
STRAY KIDS confirms its status as a top-tier global artist through meteoric international popularity. After debuting directly at number one on the “Billboard 200” main album chart in 2022 with the mini-album “ODDINARY”, they achieved the feat of placing eight consecutive albums at the top of that same chart, up to their latest release, SKZ IT TAPE “DO IT”. This is a historic record in the 70-year existence of the Billboard 200.
Recently, the group successfully completed its sixth official fan meeting, “STAY in Our Little House,” at the Inspire Arena in Incheon, sharing precious memories with the fans who support them in their global ascent.
Building on this momentum, they will headline “The Governors Ball Music Festival” in New York on June 6, followed by the “Rock in Rio” festival in Brazil on September 11, further cementing their position as leaders in live performance.
