As BABYMONSTER prepares to release its 3rd mini-album, “CHOOM,” the group has just added a major new record to its achievements with its official debut track, “Sheesh.”

According to YG Entertainment, the music video for “Sheesh” surpassed 400 million views on YouTube this April 17 at approximately 3:40 AM KST. This result was achieved in 747 days after its release on April 1, 2024, making it the fastest debut music video by a K-pop girl group in history to reach this milestone.
Upon its release, the video shot directly to number one on YouTube’s “most viewed videos in 24 hours” before dominating the global weekly chart. Subsequently, it broke all speed records for reaching the 100 million (10 days), 200 million (33 days), and 300 million view (186 days) marks.
Streaming platform performances are equally remarkable. “Sheesh” remained on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. and Billboard Global 200 charts for 18 and 14 weeks, respectively. On Spotify, the world’s largest streaming platform, the track successfully maintained its spot on the Weekly Top Songs Global chart for 10 consecutive weeks.
BABYMONSTER’s presence on YouTube continues to grow. They possess the third-largest subscriber base for a K-pop girl group with over 11.6 million fans and already count 15 videos that have surpassed 100 million views. The total cumulative views on their official channel now exceed 7.9 billion.
BABYMONSTER will release its 3rd mini-album, “CHOOM,” on May 4 at 6:00 PM KST and will begin promotions with the title track of the same name. Starting in June, the group will embark on its second world tour covering five continents. The tour will kick off with concerts in Seoul (already sold out) before traveling through six Japanese cities, then across Asia, Oceania, Europe, as well as North and South America.
