Eight years after their disbandment, the dream becomes reality, the queens of Produce 101 are finally reunited.
May 4, 2026, will remain a date engraved for K-Pop fans. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the group’s creation, the members of I.O.I (Somi, Sejeong, Yoojung, Chungha, Sohye, Chaeyeon, Doyeon, Nayoung, Yeonjung) met for a marathon day rich in emotions. Starting at 7 p.m. KST, the group held a special live broadcast (now archived) where nostalgia was palpable. During this broadcast, the girls shared untold anecdotes about their active period, expressed their eternal gratitude toward their fans, and, with great emotion, spoke of the unbreakable bond that unites them despite the time passed. They also unveiled several exclusive shots showing intact chemistry, whether backstage or during more relaxed moments.
The evening continued on the small screen at 10:10 p.m. KST with a notable appearance on the popular show “아니 근데 진짜!”. Surrounded by the hosts, the members displayed a biting humor and natural ease, proving that even though they have all evolved in their respective careers, as soloists, within new groups, or as actresses, their group alchemy has remained perfectly preserved.
This reunion, although a one-off, confirms the legendary status of I.O.I in the history of Korean music.
Even after a decade, the spark of I.O.I still shines just as brightly, proving that some promises are made to be kept.
