HYOJUNG of the group OH MY GIRL releases “PURPLE NOTE”.
HYOJUNG will release her digital single “PURPLE NOTE” today at 6 PM KST through various online music sites.
It is the first time that HYOJUNG presents a solo single in about one year and five months after the special single “크리스마스 야간열차” released in December 2024, and it includes a total of 3 tracks including the title song “나의 작은 청춘에게”, “Look around” and “나의 작은 청춘에게 (Inst.)”.
First of all, the title song “나의 작은 청춘에게” is a pop rock genre track where a refreshing band sound blends with the bright and fresh voice of HYOJUNG. With a melody overflowing with emotion and a message of hope, it conveys the courage to move forward even in difficult and exhausting moments.
In the music video that will be unveiled at the same time as the sound source, the images of CHOI HYOJUNG during high school days, while she nurtured her dream of becoming a singer, and of the current HYOJUNG, having realized her dream, cross paths to add immersion. It is planned that she fully captures the dazzling moments of youth with the pure and fresh visual unique to HYOJUNG.
The B-side song “Look around” is a ballad style song impressive for its lyrics told like a conversation on an acoustic sound base. With the delicate and warm tone unique to HYOJUNG, it conveys the message that the moments spent with the precious people by her side are the greatest of strengths, leaving a gentle resonance.
The digital single “PURPLE NOTE” is said to be inspired by the name of the music band club in which HYOJUNG was actually active as a singer during high school days. It is a single that tells that even if it is not perfect, the process of continuing to move forward is in itself a significant growth. Through this, HYOJUNG addresses a warm encouragement to all the youth who move forward at their own pace, each in their place.
