The series of successes for “GOLDEN” continues, as the hit song from the original soundtrack of “K-POP DEMON HUNTERS” clinched the Song of the Year award at the American Music Awards this Monday.
The track with a K-pop theme beat out nine other competitors, including “Ordinary” by Alex Warren, “Folded” by Kehlani and “I’m the problem” by Morgan Wallen.
“GOLDEN” was also shortlisted for Favorite Pop Song, and the film obtained a nomination for Favorite Soundtrack.
Meanwhile, the mega-group BTS was nominated in three categories this year, including the flagship Artist of the Year award. The septet is in competition against global stars such as Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift.
