The idol group STRAY KIDS has established a rare record by exceeding 40 million copies of albums shipped for its releases in Korea and Japan.
STRAY KIDS reached a cumulative shipment volume of 40,267,158 copies based on the month of April 2026, with a total of 28 albums released in Korea and Japan.
STRAY KIDS recorded 35,742,708 copies in cumulative shipment volume based on the Circle Chart for its 19 domestic albums, ranging from the pre-debut album “MIXTAPE” in January 2018 up to the SKZ IT TAPE “DO IT” released in November 2025, and 4,524,450 copies for its 9 Japanese albums, ranging from the first hit album “Skz2020” in March 2020 up to the 4th Japanese mini-album “HOLLOW” in June 2025. STRAY KIDS, which had exceeded 30 million copies in cumulative shipment volume in January 2025 with 25 albums released in Korea and Japan, proved its massive album power once again by crossing the 40 million copies mark in about 1 year and 3 months.
STRAY KIDS established the rare record of succeeding in entering at the 1st place of the Billboard 200 chart for respectively the 7th consecutive time and the 8th consecutive time with its 4th regular album “KARMA” and the SKZ IT TAPE “DO IT” released during the year 2025. In addition, it placed numerous works at the top of the U.S. Top 10 Albums category and the U.S. Top 10 CD Albums category of the “2025 Year-End Music Report” published by Luminate, a music and entertainment data collection media, and obtained the best result for a K-pop artist in the Global Album Chart and the Global Album Sales Chart of the year 2025 of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
Furthermore, STRAY KIDS will launch itself as a headliner this coming June 6 and September 11 respectively (hereinafter local time) at “The Governors Ball Music Festival” in New York in the United States, and at “Rock in Rio” in Brazil, and in September, a new festival led by STRAY KIDS called “STRAYCITY” will be organized in Latin America.
