THE BOYZ - JU HAK NYEON
A journalist who published allegations concerning the private life of JU HAK NYEON, a former member of the K-pop group THE BOYZ, has been indicted.

The Seoul Western District Prosecutors’ Office indicted a entertainment journalist, identified only by his surname “Choi”, without detention for defamation on May 12, according to legal sources this Tuesday.
Choi is accused of publishing an article in June of last year claiming that JU HAK NYEON had engaged in prostitution with Asuka Kirara, a Japanese entertainment personality and former adult video actress. The article also claimed that JU HAK NYEON had initially denied the accusation but later acknowledged it after his agency presented him with specific evidence.
The exclusive contract of JU HAK NYEON with his agency ONE HUNDRED LABEL had been brutally terminated after the publication of this report, effectively excluding him from the group THE BOYZ as well.
In response, JU HAK NYEON had written on social media:
“I will hold the journalist and the media outlet that portrayed me as a sex offender without any evidence accountable until the end. I filed a criminal complaint against the journalist for publishing false reports.”
JU HAK NYEON was cleared of all allegations in July of last year, his case not having been forwarded to prosecutors due to insufficient grounds to continue the investigation.
