The group MONSTA X announces its return to the music industry by releasing its mini-album “THE PHASE” on September 4.

The agency Starship Entertainment conveyed the news of the return by surprisingly revealing the teaser video for the new work “THE PHASE” on August 6 on MONSTA X‘s official channels.
The unveiled video begins with light waves filling the screen. The members, embodied in the form of light particles, expressed the explosive energy and refined atmosphere unique to MONSTA X through a dynamic performance, slender movements, and light afterimages stretching from their fingertips.
In particular, the scene where the scattered light particles gather into one to complete the silhouette of the members with an intense light left a strong impression by suggesting the transition to a new stage contained in the album’s name “THE PHASE”. At the end of the video, the album name and the release date, September 4, were revealed, raising expectations around this return by a notch.
Above all, this video is evaluated as recalling the VCR revealed during the concerts of the tour “2026 MONSTA X WORLD TOUR ‘THE X : NEXUS’” conducted previously.
At the time, the VCR presented the appearance of the members crossing a giant light portal to reach a new dimension. This teaser shows a production seeming to suggest the continuation of this story, increasing interest regarding the messages and music that MONSTA X will present through “THE PHASE”.
“THE PHASE” is a new domestic release that MONSTA X offers after about 1 year. It seems that they will create a special moment with Monbebe (official fan club name) who has been waiting for this return for a long time, by highlighting even deeper musical colors, a consolidated team narrative, as well as a high-quality performance worthy of the qualifier “performance to raise and listen to with confidence”.
Previously, MONSTA X showed a broad musical spectrum within the team by alternating between solo, unit, and group activities. During this process, while further consolidating the individuality of each member and the team’s capabilities, they reportedly expanded their international influence via the release of their 3rd American studio album, attracting the attention of influential foreign media.
In parallel, MONSTA X, who met Monbebe from all over the world through their world tour by presenting an explosive live vocal and an overwhelming performance, engraved their irreplaceable presence on stage by proving the true value of a “performance you listen to and watch with confidence” at every concert. Interest naturally also shifts to the new appearance they will show during this return.
In particular, while the North American tour of “THE X : NEXUS” is planned for next October, expectations are rising around the music and performance that MONSTA X will present through the new work “THE PHASE”.
In addition, MONSTA X plans to release its mini-album “THE PHASE” on September 4 and launch into full-fledged activities.
Insofar as they have placed an official domestic return at the moment when they have consolidated their international influence thanks to the world tour and foreign album activities, “THE PHASE” seems set to become a turning point where MONSTA X rebalances its domestic and international activities.
