The musician and producer SUMIN, who has built a unique musical universe, returns with her second studio album after 8 years of waiting.
SUMIN will release her second studio album “DINNERMODE” on August 13 at 6 p.m. KST via various online music sites. This is her brand-new studio opus 8 years after her first studio album released in 2018.
SUMIN took charge of producing all the songs on this album, fully reflecting her own musical color developed over time. She, who has proven her firm presence in the genre music scene by collaborating with various artists representing K-pop such as IU, RED VELVET, and KiiiKiii, has this time filled the album exclusively with her own tastes and vision.
The new opus “DINNERMODE” deals with the change in temperature of that fleeting moment when the day comes to an end but it is still a bit early to go to sleep, shifting from the outside to the inside, from a moment shared with others to a moment where one finds oneself entirely alone. Rather than special events, she expressed with her characteristic sensitive sound everyday details such as love and boredom, jokes and silence that exist in these gaps.
For this album comprising a total of 9 songs, SUMIN‘s meticulous touch was applied not only to the music but also to all visual contents. By participating directly in the entire process, including the images and videos making up the album, she consistently infused her artistic vision, from music to visuals.
SUMIN, who raised listeners’ expectations by successively unveiling sensitive images on her official social media before the release. “DINNERMODE”, which finally lifts the veil after 8 years, will be available starting today from 6 p.m. KST on various domestic and international music platforms.
