The group NMIXX will make its comeback this fall.
The group NMIXX will release a new album next October. Managing both its world tour and the preparation of this new record, the group has reportedly already finished filming the music video for the title track of the new album.
This is a new record that will seal the rise of NMIXX. Last year, the group achieved its best results since its debut with its first studio album “BLUE VALENTINE“. With the title track of the same name, it swept the main music and record sales charts in South Korea, sparking keen interest by surpassing “Golden”, the soundtrack of the Netflix film “K-POP DEMON HUNTERS” which was then dominating the music charts for a long time. Continuing on this momentum, the song “Heavy serenade” released last May having also obtained good results, expectations are high regarding the performance this new album will show. Furthermore, attention is focused on the ability of NMIXX, who had earned the nickname of “autumn Christmas carol” last year thanks to “Blue valentine”, to give birth to another exceptional track this fall.
Having debuted in 2022, NMIXX created its group name by combining the letter “N”, which signifies the unknown, “n” used in now, next, new, etc., and the word “MIX”, which symbolizes diversity. It means “the best combination that will take charge of a new era”. Steadily and conscientiously building with each work solid vocal ability and performance, as well as a unique musical universe, the group is showing the way forward as the “best combination”.
When thinking of NMIXX, one cannot omit Mixx Pop. Since its debut, the group has constantly adhered to its own Mixx Pop (a pop-type musical style that combines two or more genres in a single song). From songs released so far like “Dice”, “Love me like this”, “Roller coaster”, “Party o’clock”, and of course up to “Blue valentine”, the Mixx Pop guideline has continued.
Resulting from having dug the same Mixx Pop groove, the song “Spinnin’ on it” featured on the album “BLUE VALENTINE” even had the honor of being selected by the British music magazine NME among The 25 best K-pop songs of 2025.
Musical growth supported the results. The previous work “Heavy serenade” is proof of this. The song is characterized by a chorus brimming with emotions that lyrically expresses feelings of love about to explode. Using as a weapon a sensibility rare in the recent music market dominated by stimulating rhythms and melodies, it obtained results. Solid live skills, embellished with passionate performances, also constitute a strong point. The participation of the members in the work, such as LILY and BAE, also expands its field of action.
The group plans to meet NSWER (fandom name) with a busy schedule until the end of the year. Starting with the activities for the new album in October, it will crown in November the finale of its first world tour “EPISODE 1: ZERO FRONTIER” started last year and conducted for about a year. In December, it will release its first best-of album “N=MIXX” in Japan and announce its official debut there. Before that, it plans to hold a debut showcase on November 7 and 8 in Tokyo, as well as on December 12 and 13 in Nagoya.
