The supremacy of “ARIRANG” by BTS continues over time.

According to the latest ranking published by Billboard on August 18 (dated August 22), the 5th studio album of BTS, “ARIRANG“, reached 21st place on the “BILLBOARD 200”. After entering directly at No. 1 on the chart last April 4 and remaining at the top for 3 consecutive weeks, it maintains its position on the chart for the 21st consecutive week.
In the detailed charts, it also ranked 7th on “TOP ALBUM SALES”, 24th on “VINYL ALBUMS”, and 32nd on “TOP STREAMING ALBUMS”.
On the global song charts, the group also maintained solid results. The title track “Swim” ranked 5th on the “GLOBAL EXCL. U.S.” chart, which counts music streaming and digital sales in more than 200 countries and regions worldwide, thus featuring in the “Top 10” for the 21st consecutive week. This demonstrates a global musical power that is not limited to a specific region. On the “GLOBAL 200”, it reached 12th place.
The songs featured on the album “ARIRANG” also continued their strong performance on the charts. “Normal” recorded 36th and 57th place respectively on the “GLOBAL EXCL. U.S.” and the “GLOBAL 200”. After the revelation of the music video and the Korean title on the 17th of last month, the song re-entered the chart, asserting its presence once again. Furthermore, a total of 5 songs positioned themselves on the “GLOBAL EXCL. U.S.” chart, including “Body to body” (130th), “2.0” (154th), and “Hooligan” (157th).
Otherwise, BTS kicked off its second North American tour on August 1 and 2 (local time) in East Rutherford, United States. Having recently successfully completed its concert at AT&T Stadium in Arlington as the first Korean artist, the group will move its stage to the Rogers Centre in Toronto on August 22 and 23 to continue the fervor of its tour.
According to a study conducted in the second quarter of this year among American music consumers by the global music data company Luminate, the local awareness of BTS reached 42%. This is a figure significantly higher than the average awareness of all artists, which stands at 24%.
