Singer CHUNG HA will release her new digital single “MEXICO” on next September 1st.
Her agency MORE VISION announced on August 26 that CHUNG HA had unveiled the second concept photo for “MEXICO” via her official social media on the same day.
In the photos, CHUNG HA sports an ethnic outfit and makeup with freckles. These are images with an atmosphere different from the first concept revealed previously.
A portion of the lyrics for the new song was also revealed through a second lyric poster.
The poster contains lyrics in Spanish:
“You and I, let’s leave, let’s leave for Mexico, to a place where there is neither burden nor pressure, let’s forget everything and disappear to Mexico.”
Short-form videos using the new song were also unveiled sequentially.
The video begins with CHUNG HA running toward a boarding gate at the airport. Then, the scene changes as if she had traveled to Mexico, following up with images shot on site.
“México” is a song that addresses escaping from a repetitive reality and emptiness to leave for a place where no one knows you and face a new self and a new life.
This is the new song that CHUNG HA releases about 7 months after the digital single “SAVE ME”, published in last February on the occasion of her birthday.
CHUNG HA‘s new digital single, “MEXICO”, will be revealed on next September 1st at 6 p.m. KST.
