SEUNGRI, former member of the group BIGBANG, has suddenly announced his marriage as well as the news of an upcoming child.
Various Korean media reported this October 28 that SEUNGRI has completed his marriage registration with a non-celebrity woman in her twenties and that he is expecting a birth next year.
The gender of the child is a boy, and it was reported that they have already prepared their newlyweds’ home located in the Gangnam district of Seoul. There are no plans to hold a separate wedding ceremony.
Previously, SEUNGRI made his debut in 2006 within the group BIGBANG and was loved for many hits such as “Lies”, “Haru haru”, and “Sunset glow”.
However, in 2019, he was accused of a total of 9 charges involved in the Burning Sun club, notably mediation of prostitution, prostitution, violation of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, habitual gambling, violation of the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement), and instigation of special assault, and served a prison sentence of 1 year and 6 months.
While SEUNGRI, released from prison, was conducting activities abroad such as in Cambodia instead of Korea, he was involved in an assault altercation with “Mr. A” in a restaurant in the Gangnam district of Seoul in August of this year and is currently the subject of a complaint.
Regarding this, SEUNGRI’s side acknowledged the fact of having grabbed a soju bottle at the time, while denying allegations of assault and threat.
